Ultimate Software, a provider of unified capital management (HCM) SaaS solutions for global businesses, today announced the addition of two senior HCM professionals to its management team.
Cecile Alper-Leroux has joined Ultimate as vice president of strategic HCM, while Andrew McCarthy has been appointed Ultimate’s vice president of market strategy.
Alper-Leroux will drive product direction for Ultimate’s HCM solutions. She brings more than 15 years of experience to Ultimate, both as an HR practitioner and an expert in HRMS product strategy. She comes to Ultimate Software after a 13-year career with Minneapolis-based Lawson Software, where she guided product strategy and worked closely with the sales and implementation teams.
McCarthy will focus on Ultimate’s solution positioning and strategic relationships. For more than 20 years, McCarthy has been leading strategy and communications programs for global technology companies. He consulted for a slew of Fortune 500 companies, including IBM, Xerox, Motorola, and Sun Microsystems and later joined PeopleSoft in 1997. He then led communications teams at VERITAS through the company’s merger with Symantec. Most recently, McCarthy developed the market strategy and strategic relationships for Workday, Inc.
“I was tremendously energized by Ultimate’s global service and technology vision,” said Alper-Leroux. “Ultimate’s strategy is driven by business needs and outcomes, not technology for the sake of technology—and that means ultimately delivering better products and services to the market. I was also impressed with Ultimate’s uncompromising commitment to doing right by its employees and customers. I’m honored to join a team whose renowned ‘people passion’ is recognized so frequently by the industry.”
“The single biggest factor in my decision to join Ultimate was the company’s tremendous track record for delighting its customers,” said McCarthy. “Ultimate’s reputation for customer satisfaction is among the best I’ve seen in more than 20 years in the enterprise software and SaaS markets. I was also struck by Ultimate’s refreshingly success-oriented culture. I’m excited about this opportunity to play an integral role in defining Ultimate’s strategy as we build the next generation of HCM solutions.”
