Online job board CareerBuilder has announced a partnership with eQuest, a job posting delivery and job board management service, to give clients needing to post jobs in Europe and beyond a new distribution option for job postings.

The service is meant to have little to no impact on recruitment budgets. CareerBuilder customers who use eQuest can post to CareerBuilder sites in 17 countries with no additional transaction charge. Those countries include U.K., France, Germany, Sweden, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Greece, Belgium, Norway, Romania, Ireland, Denmark, Poland, Canada and the Gulf area.

CareerBuilder reps state that aggressive recruiting in Europe and other countries were compelling reasons to create the platform. Employers are open to the idea of recruiting across borders. In a May 2010 CareerBuilder survey of business leaders in the UK, one-in-four (25 per cent) hired someone from outside their country in the prior 12 months. More than half (55 per cent) had not, but would consider hiring someone from outside their country going forward.

“The agreement between CareerBuilder and eQuest comes at a time when global expansions and the growing demand for specialized skills have companies looking beyond their own backyard for talent,” said Tony Roy, president of CareerBuilder EMEA. “We continually look for ways for our clients to more efficiently and cost-effectively integrate with our international job sites. Clients who use eQuest can extend their reach without extending their wallet and build a broader talent pipeline in multiple markets.”

“As eQuest continues its expansion in Europe, the formation of these types of partnerships is an extension of our commitment to providing our customers around the world with low-cost job delivery services,” said Sean Luitjens, VP of Worldwide Business Development at eQuest. “We look forward to working with the CareerBuilder team and the addition of many new clients.”
