SuccessFactors buys Jambok

SuccessFactors, a provider of cloud-based Business Execution (BizX) software solutions to organizations of all sizes, has purchased Jambok, a SaaS-based social learning company.

InformationWeek reports that Jambok’s technology will be integrated with SuccessFactor’s growing BizX Suite, which includes SaaS-based apps for employee performance management, recruiting, variable pay and compensation management, strategy management, goal execution, and succession, workforce planning and the CubeTree social collaboration platform.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Jambok staff will join SuccessFactors at its home base in San Mateo, CA.

Coinciding with the acquisition, SuccessFactors today debuted a slew of upgrades in cloud analytics, mobile access and social collaboration.

Innovations include an upgrade to analytics to provide answers and next-step advice for pressing questions. For example, an executive can get instant answers to questions like “how long does it take to cascade goals throughout our organization?”

The company has also added new mobile features. These include:

  • Mobile Recruiting: Interviewers can give candidate feedback and managers can approve job requisitions from mobile devices
  • Mobile Documents: Employees can review and comment on documents, like resumes and PowerPoint presentations, shared via CubeTree directly from mobile devices.
  • Mobile Alerts: Employees will now be able receive instant notifications for messages or replies to CubeTree comments on any mobile device.
  • Mobile Contacts: Find contact details for anyone within the organization and call, email, text or direct message with one click straight from iPhone, Blackberry or iPad.

Lastly, SuccessFactors updated its social collaboration features. Clients can now perform social sourcing via an integration with Jobvite. CubeTree will also automatically pre-populate employee profiles and organizational structure.
