TheLadders, a marketplace for $100K+ job seekers and $100K+ jobs, announced today it has hired Nicholas Rockwell to become the new Chief Technology Officer.
Rockwell will oversee and manage the technology development and operations for consumer and enterprise products and services. He will report directly to Marc Cenedella, founder and CEO of TheLadders.com.
Prior to joining TheLadders, Rockwell was the Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Digital Media Technology, for MTV Networks. During his eleven years at MTV, Rockwell created Urge, a subscription-based music service that was consolidated into Rhapsody in 2007, and implemented the on-air graphics system used on MTV Networks’ broadcast channels.
Prior to working at MTV, Rockwell helped create SonicNet.com, a music content site specializing in the cybercasts of live performances. When SonicNet was acquired by MTV Networks in 1999, he assumed responsibility for the websites for MTV Networks’ portfolio of leading media brands.
“Throughout his career Nick has demonstrated an ability to drive technology strategy and vision and we are thrilled to welcome his experience and expertise to our leadership team,” said Cenedella. “As we continue to develop new products and services, Nick will play an integral role in helping us innovate and build out our technology platform both here in the US and abroad.”
